Wood Burning Sled

How to keep warm in the Ozarks? Burn wood in the wood stove in the house. Now the hard part, chopping the wood, drying the wood, hauling the wood; then getting it all into the house for burning. This last part is the hardest. The car can only get so close to the house, then you gotta sled it. That plastic sled has been the best tool I ever bought. To the wood stove!

Winter Wonderland in the Ozarks II

Well, we got four more inches here last night in the Ozarks. Had to shovel out our front door as many around the nation are doing. It was lovely to see the sun rise orange through the snow covered trees.

Winter Wonderland in the Ozarks

We got a break here in the Ozarks and then the snow came again. Snow fell from all directions and plastered the forest in white. Snow is caking over all the plants, trees and grasses. We have a winter wonderland in February.

Sunday Quail Bowl

We had this small flock of quail near our garage this Sunday. I guess they were trying to watch the Super Bowl. But we don't have TV so they went into the meadow instead.
