Farm for Sale in Missouri

Update: it has an offer as of Aug. 1st. Hoping it goes well.

Huge barn even though it looks rusty it is HUGE and in very good condition.

For all my readers who long for a farm in a beautiful area of SW Missouri here is one. Friends of ours have to move for medical reasons. They need to be very close to a hospital, which is about 20 minutes away from their current location. One of the perks of this home- High speed internet is available, located just off the main highway 17. Single owner of the house he built-lots of windows! Quiet country road, huge barn in great condition (large enough for an RV and tractors and a few horses) included, cattle nearby, fields of pasture and woods and peace and quiet. Retired farmer, hunters, young family looking for a started farm, artist looking for inspiration this is the place. I have been to this house many times for dinners, get togethers and farming events. This house is very well made and very new. It is located just a few miles south of Summersville, MO. Worth a look if you are looking for country life that is a short drive to civilization.

Silver Dollar Birthday

Our friends treated us to a trip to Silver Dollar City for the Christmas lights. They use LED lights that are bright even during the day. We toured all the crafters, shops and food places.

Everything in lights.

Lots of shops

Over decorated trees and all for sale.

As dark came on we got on the train to see the lights, hear the Christmas story and see more lights.

The parks is super clean, very nice staff and vendors. Disneyworld/land fails in all these.

The whole park is lights on everything. Bathrooms are clean, plenty of staff to help.
Shuttles from the parking lot to the park. It was cold but wonderful.

The whole park at night. Then they light the big tree and have a parade before closing.

This huge tree changes colors as Christmas songs play.

Park visitors are so nice even though there were a lot. People are happy and in good moods. So refreshing compared to other parks we have been to.

When you buy something the park will hold it for you at the main office. You get a claim ticket and your receipt. Anything you buy will be waiting for you so you do not have to carry it around. How cool is that and it is free of charge! So after our visit we collected our purchases, waited for the trolley and got taken to our parking lot. It is a wonderful park to visit.

Ozark New Year's Eve

On Thursday night A. and I drove to our towns Community Center in S'ville, MO to celebrate the New Year. Our center is also a skating rink, deli and stage. There was a live bluegrass band playing for us as we ate hamburgers and desserts. While there were only 16 or so people the band played on. They played "Keep on the Sunny Side", "Danny Boy" and more. There was mandolin, flute, voice and guitar. Our town is blessed with so many multi talented people. It was so relaxing to just sit, eat, visit, chat and listen to good music. That is what bringing in the New Year is all about.
