I love to burn incense in the house. My husband tolerates it as the scents usually stay in my studio. I'm also very picky about what I burn. There are so many poor quality ones out there. But I have found that Pure Incense is wonderful. There is no stick it is all punk. My favorite is patchouli. I have tried their others but this one is heaven. I have tried resins but I am forced to use them outside, they are just too strong. Resin sticks are a better fit for home use. I love Fred Soll's resin sticks. The Honey Amber is a great scent I burn when I have mixed company. People love the sweet smell and ambient odor that stays with them. Very calming.
One of the nice things about incense is that the scents go into my fabrics. My coats, fabrics and clothes carry the scents I love. And when we start the wood stove up each morning, I get a whiff of my studio as the air pushes through the chimney at start up. The farm knows we are up and about when they smell the wood stove going.
