Our Gray Mare

Here is our other expectant mare at the vets. She is overweight and is on a diet. She is very close to foundering so she is on Brome hay. We want here to have a healthy foal if she can. We bought her at auction in this overweight condition and the vet is working to reduce her weight. It is working and she is slimmer. Her tail has been cleared of burs and her hooves are trimmed. She needed to be sedated during her farrier session. She has had a bad experience with farriers in the past. We will work on that to develop trust with her feet. She is 7-8 years old and is a smooth ride. She will be a great horse to ride after she gives birth.
