Growing Melon

Here was Melon when we first rescued him April of this year.

Here is Melon today, not even a year old yet and still growing. He is going to be a big Missouri cat.

Itius Bitius

This is "the kitten"our last foster kitten still in our care. She has had ringworm, tapeworms, ear mites, fleas, malnutrition, and failure to thrive. She is only 3 months old and barely weights a pound. Her healthy sibling was adopted and is thriving. She has grown some and is a hard keeper in the weight department. But we still have her and she acts like an older cat. She does not meow only purrs. She can climb and go up stairs, but she cannot jump. She has deformed front feet and curved front legs. Only time will tell if she will grow up into a healthy adult. But for now she is a happy little kitten.
UPDATE: She was adopted today! A happy cat lover saw my poster and wanted to see Itty Bitty. I brought her down to our local Senor Center. It was love at first sight for both of them.

New Crafting

Getting hooked on needle punch and hooked rugs. We were visiting Silver Dollar City in Branson and I got to try out these new to me crafts. Wonderful place to see and learn about crafts. Now I need to make time to sit and do.

Pumpkins Bumpkins

I finally got to grow my own pumpkins. I saved some seeds from a variety I liked last October. They grew well. The next test is the flavor. These are not perfect for carving, but I am hoping for savory cooked pumpkin pie.
