Local Mt. View Quilt Show 2016

Last weekend there was a local non competition quilt show at the local community center. It was free to walk in and look at the quilts. I loved all the quilts I saw there. So much talent and great ideas.

Little Tomato'

It is October and we are still harvesting lots of tomato. The weather has been 80's and dry. So I have watered and harvested. It has been so nice to have fresh tomatoes this late in the season.

Sweet Millions, better boy and Roma tomato. I like the Roma but the Better Boy's have not produces as advertised. But having the tomatoes on cattle panel and t-post has helped a ton. I also added blood meal to the manure this late season. A real boost for the crops.

This is Cotton playing around my purse. She chews everything.

Truckin' Nowhere

Last weekend we drove a long way out to buy a Sears freezer on sale. After getting it loaded up we stopped for lunch. When we got back in the truck was dead. New batteries, too. So we got a jump from the restaurant owner. But then I smelled smoke and we stopped. The jumper cables were hot and something was burning. So we called roadside assistance. It was going to take 3 hours! So we called around and found a guy 20 minutes out. He got our truck loaded and off back home. We dropped our truck off at our local hometown repair guy. Turns out it was the starter. They just die on the Ford 350's. This is the 2nd one since we bought this truck used. Other than that it has been a great farm work truck.
